Two megawatts in two weeks: Near the A7, a new solar plant is under construction.
In mid-February, Pfalzsolar started with the construction of a new solar park. In Dinkelsbühl, Bavaria, the company will build a power plant with an installed capacity of two megawatts, near the highway nr. 7. By the end of February, the construction shall be completed.
Although the city of Dinkelsbühl already created the legal approval conditions for the realization of the solar power plant in April 2013, it took nearly 10 months until the actual start of construction. The reason therefor is the difficult situation at the German solar market. At the beginning of this year, Pfalzsolar got involved into the project and continued the development and planning. “It is currently not easy to realize projects of this magnitude – but it is feasible.” says Thomas Kercher, managing director of Pfalzsolar. “We have been able to optimize the production costs of turnkey solar plants to the extent that an investment in photovoltaic is worth it even now.”
