There will be a personnel change in the management of the Ludwigshafen-based photovoltaic specialist PFALZSOLAR with effect from 13 September 2023: Lars Josten will be resigning from his position as a member of the management in order to take on a new professional challenge. His duties will be taken over by Rolf Lulei, the second Managing Director, for the time being.

Lars Josten had been working as Managing Director at PFALSOLAR since 15 August 2018. In his function, he was significantly co-responsible for the company’s success in the past years. He has been very successful in driving forward the expansion of the business field of “full-service provider for planning, construction, financing and operation of photovoltaic plants”. This includes, for example, the consistent reconstruction of project development in Germany, the entry into project development in Greece, the successful sale of four project developments with over 400 megawatts in the USA, the implementation of the business area large roof systems as well as the successful scaling of the private customer business to over 1,500 systems sold in 2022. During his tenure, the company grew from 50 to over 160 employees and over 60 million euros in turnover.

“Lars Josten has rendered outstanding services to PFALZSOLAR over the past five years. We would like to thank him for the important course he has set, including internationalisation and the consistent expansion of the photovoltaics business field,” said Marc Mundschau, Member of the Board of Management at PFALZWERKE AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT, adding: “We wish him all the very best for the future. With his forward-looking and committed approach, he has decisively driven forward important strategic and organisational realignments and thus set important impulses for the future of the company.”

“I would like to thank the Pfalzwerke Group for my time with PFALZSOLAR. Over the past five years, PFALZSOLAR has proven why renewable energies play a crucial part in the transformation of the economy and society on the path to climate neutrality. My special thanks go to my family, my team and all PFALZSOLAR’s partners and customers. Of course, I am looking forward to a little time off and the new challenge,” says Lars Josten and adds: “I would like to express a special thanks to Rolf Lulei. I am sure that PFALZSOLAR is in good hands under his leadership.”
