With effect from August 15, 2018 Lars Josten takes over the management of PFALZSOLAR GmbH. He succeeds Thomas Kercher, who will leave the management of PFALZSOLAR on August 31, 2018 to take up a new challenge. Together with Jan Vonhöne, Lars Josten will continue to drive forward the interests and development of the company and the expansion of the photovoltaics business area.
After completing his training as an industrial clerk, Lars Josten successfully completed his studies as a communication scientist at the Ruhr University with a Master’s degree in 2008. From 1996 to 2009, partly during his studies, he was Managing Director in the areas of event and event planning as well as development and implementation of sales and marketing measures. Here he made important contacts in the solar industry and was thus able to switch to REW Solartechnik GmbH, Düsseldorf, in 2009, first as Head of Marketing and Product Management and from 2011 as Head of Marketing and Sales to gain deeper experience in the photovoltaic field and build up the corresponding expertise. Mr. Josten expanded his expertise in this area within the scope of his management tasks at Aerospace Photovoltaik GmbH, DMEGC Germany GmbH and Solon S.p.A. before he moved to Vaisala GmbH in June 2016, where, among other things, he took over the reorganisation of sales in Northern Europe and Africa.
Dr. Werner Hitschler, Member of the Board of Management of Pfalzwerke: “We are delighted that we were able to win Lars Josten to take over the management and welcome him warmly to our group of companies. For us, the energy transition also means consistently pursuing the expansion of photovoltaics. PFALZSOLAR is not only active in Germany, but also in Europe and the USA. We now want to continue the very successful path Thomas Kercher has taken towards internationalization of the company with Lars Josten. We wish him every success and good cooperation with all divisions of the Pfalzwerke Group.”
